
In recent years, fine-pitch LED displays have been increasingly used in the field of large-scale event studios. As event backdrops, LED displays integrate performances with backgrounds through vivid, dazzling images and diverse interactive functions. They effectively improve ratings and program broadcast effects, earning high praise from audiences.
However, in studios, LED displays from different brands and with different pixel pitches vary greatly in image performance. Some screens consistently deliver vivid, high-definition pictures, while others produce ambiguous, flickering images.
Therefore, many factors must be considered when purchasing studio LED displays, especially the following three aspects.
I. Application Requirements of Studio LED Displays
Precise control of shooting effects: The image shooting distance is related to the pixel pitch and fill factor of the LED display, and varies accordingly. Generally, a suitable shooting distance between the camera and the screen is recommended to achieve better background images. Footage captured by the camera requires clear, complete details and information as well as high color reproduction. Low-brightness and high-gray-scale technology should be adopted to enhance layering and vividness.
II. Smaller Pixel Pitch
Generally, the smaller the LED pixel pitch, the more pixels per unit area, the higher the resolution, and the better the display effect. At present, most LED displays used in TV studios feature a pixel pitch of .mm. A smaller pixel pitch enables superior display performance.
III. Adjustable Color Temperature
In studios where LED displays serve as backgrounds, their color temperature must match that of studio lighting to ensure accurate color reproduction during shooting. Depending on program needs, studio lighting sometimes uses low-color-temperature fixtures and sometimes high-color-temperature fixtures. The color temperature can also be adjusted appropriately according to scenes to achieve ideal shooting effects.
